    Dear Andreas:

Thank you for helping me find out missing section definition info in s2k file last time.

This time the problem I met is that I failed to write tcl input files with navigator. The following is the error message:

    Error using importdata
    unable open file.
    Error in readUserDefinedElm (line 43)
    Error in WriteTCLElement (line 854)
    Error in WriteTCLfiles (line 195)
    Error while evaluationg Desroyobject callback

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Cheers
    Ken

The problem above is caused by link element. Change them into beam elements. And I found OSN v2.5.5 could recoginize the link element and import s2k file for SAP2000v16,but failed to write them into tcl files, which is not the case for v14.2.it seems that OSN cannot recognize the link elements in s2k file for v14.2.

And after eigen analysis, the periods and mode shapes exist significant error between SAP2000 and OSN. I am going to continue finding the reason for this problem.

After checking the section definition, There is no section named LIN (link). So I guess that maybe OSN v2.5.5 could only recoginize the link element name from the link assiganment in s2k file. I should say sorry for my rash finding.

By now, my answer is free nodes or some definition missing that would make tcl creation failed.
