    Hi,

My name is Arvind and I am a researcher with a major in Electrical Engineering. However, my research interest is in reliability analysis of designs (mechanical and structural).

I would like to find out whether it is possible to perform response surface modelling using a second-order polynomial function in Opensees Navigator. Or is there some other way to do that using OpenSees?

    Thank you in advance

    Cheers,
    Arvind

RSM is not built into OSN, so it is not possible to directly perform these types of sensitivity analyses. However, you could use OpenSees and connect it with Matlab (there is examples on the OpenSees website that show how to communicate with Matlab) to perform the RSM in Matlab.

    Hi Mr Andreas,

Thank you so much for the guidance – I will finitely look into it. I would be very grateful if you could kindly direct me to the examples of linking Matlab to Opensees.

I look forward to your assistance

    Sincerely,
    Arvind
